Pedestrian Killed Crossing Street

By: Admin

A 56 year old man was killed crossing a street in Deltona. He was not in a designated crosswalk and the 64 year old driver could not react quickly enough to avoid the accident. Florida law requires you to use a designated crosswalk to cross any street. If there is no stripes designating a crosswalk, you go at a 90 degree angle crossing at the corner of two streets. Otherwise you could be found to be 100 percent at fault. We all see people crossing streets in the middle of the block and could be at fault if they get hit by a car. Cross streets with caution at the proper places and watch out for drivers who run red lights.

I’m a retired law enforcement officer who was injured in the line of duty. I wanted to take the time to write to let you know that I’m very pleased with the performance, support, professionalism and determination of Al Hilado throughout my case, he was always very quick to respond to my questions, made himself available during times that most would consider after hours and always patient in explaining the details and developments of my case.

Mr. Hilado assisted me with my Social Security disability claim. With his help, we were able to get Social Security disability insurance on the initial go round. The process was made easy by his office. I had the results and approval back only after 2 months of Mr. Hilado submitting my motion to reconsider.
