Do not be swayed by anyone at the scene – not police, bystanders, passengers or others involved – give no recorded statements to anyone. Take pictures with a camera or even your cell phone of the automobiles, motorcycles or other vehicles or even property involved and any apparent injuries. Always see a doctor, whether you need to go to an emergency room or walk-in clinic. You should always be checked for injuries. Not all physical problems are as obvious as catastrophic injury. Some physical problems from a car or motorcycle wreck can appear long after the accident, after statements have been recorded and after citations issued.
