Can I be forced to settle my case?

By: Glen Wieland

settling a case

When it comes to a workers’ compensation accident, there are some situations where an adjuster might continuously call you asking about settling your case. Know that you cannot be forced into settling your case at any point and your benefits will still apply even if you don’t settle, as long as you get treatment from an authorized doctor at least one time per year. Your adjuster, lawyer and workers compensation judge cannot force you to settle your case at any point.  All settlements in workers’ compensation cases must be voluntary and agreed upon by both you and the insurance company.

When someone does such a phenomenal a job as Al has done for us,it’s hard to find the right words to thank him and his office for all the work that was done in our case. We would not have gotten anywhere without his knowledge and help. Until we actually saw all of the “HOMEWORK” that Al did,we had no idea how much work that had been put into our case. 5 stars for Al and his team for the excellent work in delivering a fair and just settlement.

Mr. Hilado assisted me with my Social Security disability claim. With his help, we were able to get Social Security disability insurance on the initial go round. The process was made easy by his office. I had the results and approval back only after 2 months of Mr. Hilado submitting my motion to reconsider.
