Can I be forced to settle my case?

By: Glen Wieland

settling a case

When it comes to a workers’ compensation accident, there are some situations where an adjuster might continuously call you asking about settling your case. Know that you cannot be forced into settling your case at any point and your benefits will still apply even if you don’t settle, as long as you get treatment from an authorized doctor at least one time per year. Your adjuster, lawyer and workers compensation judge cannot force you to settle your case at any point.  All settlements in workers’ compensation cases must be voluntary and agreed upon by both you and the insurance company.

Al was a great attorney,he was extremely helpful. If I ever needed another Workers’ Comp attorney again, I would definitely hire Al. His assistant Melody was very helpful to when Al was out of the office or helping another client. These are great people they treated me like I was family.
